We actually encourage it, because we know all the confidence that comes with knowing how to throw a punch.

Our integrative boxing classes are for men and women of all ages in Lake Bluff and surrounding areas.

The 30-Day Kickstart program is perfect for boxing newbies as well as fitness enthusiasts of all ages, each session is geared toward your own personal level of health.

Boxing gloves and hand wraps

The 30-Day Kickstart includes a pair of high quality 16oz boxing gloves and 180” hand wraps from Hayabusa.

The S4 offers everything you need to begin your boxing journey; pre-curved natural fit, proper knuckle protection, secure support for your wrists, PU Vegan leather, single splint wrist support, single strap Velcro closure with elastic strip, nylon lining, breathable mesh palm, and wipe away sweat thumb.

These gloves are not your typical entry level gloves, they will last you way past the 30-Day Kickstart!

Structured small group classes

I can guarantee you that NO ONE will give you this level attention or detailed instruction in a free class or EVEN A FREE WEEK! It’s just not possible!!!

Not only will we train you on fitness boxing fundamentals, but we will also introduce you to you to our Strength and Conditioning class. We will train you on how to safely work with weights and how to use resistance training to hit all your goals.

We spread out the information over the course of a month in 12 fun and exciting classes designed for every fitness level!

WEEK 1

The first week is loaded with hands on instruction for the fundamentals of boxing fitness. Don’t worry this is not a boring lecture class, you will be interacting with the coaches as they guide you through fundamentals, strikes, combinations, and turning all those elements into a fun workout.

In addition to learning the fundamentals of boxing fitness we will be introducing to the BoxMaster and Heavy Bag. You will be taught how to wrap your hands, properly put on your boxing gloves, and hit safely with confidence.

WEEK 2

In the first week you were on the offensive and won every fight but at some point, they are going to hit back! In this series of classes, we go over how to avoid hay makers, hooks, and straight punches by introducing the slip, bob and weave using focus mitt training.

Although this training has real world applications you never have to worry about getting hit as these are not sparing or self-defense classes. You still win every fight!  

You will also be leaving the boxing gloves and hand wraps at home for one day as we introduce you to our strength and conditioning program. We will coach you through various movements to make you stronger, fast track weight loss, tone, and tighten trouble areas.

Never worked with weights before? Don’t worry we show you how to scale for all fitness levels, injuries, and mobility restrictions. Our goal is to get you fit, not injured!

WEEK 3

Now that you have the basics down we teach you street fighting techniques in a fun safe atmosphere. Let’s face it, the bad guy isn’t going to let you run to wrap your hands and put on boxing gloves!

We introduce you to our tombstone pads and our ground and pound heavy bags. We will teach you how to punch without gloves, knee, fight on the ground, and kick your way to victory in these fun style workouts.

You won’t want to miss this week!

WEEK 4

By the final week you have all the fundamentals down and now we tie everything that you have learned in full on Punch Fit classes while you are still in the comfort of the kickstart program. We will show you how we can use your own body weight for resistance, how we incorporate weights with boxing, and how we play with time modalities to workouts.

You will be amazed at how much you have learned as you punch and kick your way to total victory in these high energy classes!

You may even have lost a few pounds and seen muscles in places you didn’t know you had muscles before!

Chances are if you made it this far that you are hooked and ready to become a full-time member!

ABOUT US

My wife Aneta Hunter and I are certified trainers in many different areas of fitness. We are fitness enthusiasts who just happen to love throwing punches. We are more than just a little too enthusiastic when it comes to jabs and crosses. And a little too eager to show off our uppercut and hook combos.

Funny thing is, we’re also equally joyful about helping you develop your own skills with the heavy bag. We put the “person” in personal training and customize our approach, helping you get the most out of your workout every time. As the owners of the business we are dedicated on helping you to become the bad-a$$ you really are.

Though we support a fun and silly atmosphere, we are undoubtedly serious about fitness. We’ll always work to ensure you’re enjoying your workout with us, but we’ll also make sure it’s working. Because nothing is as fun as feeling strong and healthy.

 

Location

Distance to the training facility is very important to your success; we service Lake Bluff and surrounding areas. To achieve most fitness goals including losing weight, strength gain, and general fitness you will want to attend at least 3 classes per week.

Our members come as far as Racine Wisconsin, however typically most people work and/ or live in Lake Bluff, Lake Forest, Libertyville, Highland Park, Vernon Hills, Knollwood, Northbrook, North Chicago, and Waukegan.

Punch Fit is in Lake Bluff just a few minutes down the street from Target.

We are located directly across from the “Certified Service” garage door at the Chevy Exchange car dealership.

We have a lot of available parking and easy access to Waukegan Road (Rte.43)

Commonly asked questions

I am sure even with all this information you may have some additional questions. Below are some questions we are often asked about the 30-Day Kickstart program.

Q: What is the cost?

A: I get it, if you are like me you want to know what you are paying for! You also know nothing that is awesome is free. There is a cost but we pack the 30-Day Kickstart with value and many different ways to save. Let’s set up a quick 10 minute and I will go over the pricing options. Don’t like what you hear? Just hang up, I won’t take it personal.

Q: I am new to boxing and I have never done anything like this before. I am worried that I will be lost in big group.

A: Don’t worry we will be with you every step of the way and we keep the classes small limiting them to 10 people max. This gives us the ability for us to work closely with you in a small group setting!  

Q: I may have to miss a few classes; can I make them up?

A: Ideally each class builds off the previous, so it is best to attend all classes. That being said I totally understand that life happens, and we include one make up class.

Q: Will I be getting hit?

A: No, while at times there is limited interaction with other members (training with focus mitts for example) we focus of the fitness element of boxing and we do not spar or train in self-defense. Our programing does draw on experiences from our backgrounds and has real world applications but rest assured you will win every fight!  

Q: Do I need to be fit to take this class?

A: No, that is our job, to get you fit! We keep the class sizes small and close down the gym for only the members taking the 30-Day Kickstart. Even if there are super fit people taking the program with you they will be new to boxing which levels the playing field.

Q: I am already fit; will I be bored?

A: The instruction is fast paced, and workouts increase intensity as the program progresses. Once you have the fundamentals down you see how challenging and rewarding Punch Fit workouts are!

Q: I have an injury; can I still take your class?

A: While we have a few young bucks in the herd we cater to the working professional and stay at home parents. Our fitness programing is designed to be scaled up or down depending on fitness levels and can accommodate most injuries, mobility restrictions, and body types, however, if you are concerned about an injury always seek advice from your doctor before starting a fitness.

Q: What are your membership rates after the 30-Day Kickstart is over?

A: We have several membership options that are based on commitment level and programs you choose to go with. We also offer special promotions for the members that take the 30-Day Kickstart. By the time you have completed this program our coaches will have an understanding of your goals and schedule to offer the best option for you.

Q: Are your boxing classes only for women?

A: No, our program is not gender focused. As a matter of fact, dudes really like the classes because we focus first on form, application, and striking for real world applications. Burning calories, losing weight, and getting ripped is just a bonus!

Q: Is a nutrition plan included in the 30-Day Kickstart?

A: While we do offer nutrition services the 30-Day Kickstart focuses on the exercise aspect of fitness.

Q: Do you offer free classes, or do I have to take the 30-Day Kickstart?

A: We do offer a free 30-minute class, but we typically reserve this option for someone that already has boxing and strength training experience. If you are new to boxing or fitness in general, we highly recommend the 30-Day Kickstart program.
